"From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to creativity and making art. Growing up in Grand Rapids, MI my dream was to attend Kendall College of Art and Design. While life took me on a different path, it led me to something even more fulfilling—tattooing. In 2019, I began my tattoo journey through an apprenticeship, and from that moment, I knew I had found my calling. After years of growth, learning, and focusing on my craft, I now tattoo from my own private studio, Old Marigold Tattoo.
Alongside my passion for art, I have a deep love for nature. Having completed an agricultural science and horticulture program, I bring that connection with the outdoors into my work and studio. I especially enjoy tattooing florals and botanical designs, and my studio is decorated with an array of vibrant plants that add to its welcoming atmosphere.
I’m also fascinated by history, antiques, and all things vintage. I collect old and unique trinkets, and my studio features many antique cameras that reflect my previous career in photography. Before tattooing, I worked as a wedding photographer, and while my focus has shifted, I continue to incorporate photography into my work by capturing my tattoos in creative, artistic ways.
Tattooing, to me, is a blend of all my passions—art, nature, history, and photography—and I strive to create meaningful pieces that reflect each client’s vision."
